A cappella Singing at Its Best!
Outrageous! is a new and exciting acappella quartet with over 125 years of Barbershop singing experience! These four ladies came together last year and with all their years of talent, they certainly make beautiful harmony, barbershop-style!
Jeanne, originally from Orlando, Florida, has been singing tenor for all of her 32 years in the Sweet Adeline organization, achieving many top regional quartet and chorus awards and medals. Jeanne was a member of the Queen Charlotte Chorus for 17 years, and then became a member of the Carolina Style Chorus (Conover, NC) in 2005. Jeanne is the proud mom of two grown children and shares her love of singing with her three precious grand-daughters. Jeanne and her husband, Bob, have lived in Statesville, NC for 27 years.
Amanda developed a love of music at an early age. If music was playing, she was singing along! Amanda, singing lead, grew up singing in church choirs, school choruses and performing in school plays. She also performed in ensemble groups from the tender age of four thru college. Amanda’s college degree is in Speech & Theater, and after graduation, she worked for several years in the professional theater biz before settling down to a REAL job, getting married to Joe, and raising a family! Amanda “found” SAI 22 years ago, and it satisfies any lingering performance urges that she has! Recently her 15 year old daughter, Kari decided that since mom was having SO much fun, SHE needed to start singing with my chorus! We hope to sing together at the 2012 International Competition in the “Family Chorus” in Denver, CO.
It takes a special singer to hear and sing the baritone part, and Judy is one of the best! She comes from a barbershop family and has been in the Sweet Adeline organization for 35 + years, winning an International Chorus medal and regional quartet medals as well. Judy is a member of Carolina Style chorus, but has also been a member of Valley Forge, Golden Triad, and Queen Charlotte choruses. Judy resides in Denver, NC with her husband Hank.
Loretta has been singing a mellow bass for her entire Sweet Adeline career, starting in New Castle, PA. She has won so many regional quartet awards, that we often joke that anytime Loretta enters a contest, she’s bound to win! Loretta has been in Sweet Adelines for 43 years, was a member of the Queen Charlotte Chorus for 31 years, and now belongs to Carolina Style Chorus! She has three children and three beautiful grandchildren. Loretta and her husband, Joe, live in Gastonia, N.C.
